Description: The importance of Mantra Yoga lies in the fact that it helps improve all human activities, as mantra connects us with the whole life. In this workshop, we include sessions that help participants understand the nature of the mind, and the importance of concentration, attention and memory in all that we do. The participants are introduced to the power of Mantra and the practice of Mantra yoga. There is also a session on the primal sounds, the beeja-aksharas, which are at the basis of all Mantras. Participants are also introduced to the art of listening to the pure sounds without any distortion or mind’s interpretation, which is the secret of success in the practice of Mantra Yoga. Omkara-sadhana, practice of mantras for the purification of different chakras or energy centers, and other collective chanting sessions are also included.

Mananam: The Power of Mantra, Mind and Memory

DescriptionThis workshop offers an alternative to the Mantra Yoga workshop. Here the focus is more on understanding the power of the Mantra to help develop the mental faculties such as memory and concentration. The workshop includes sessions on activities for developing the power of multiple concentration. Learners are also given an introduction to the ancient Indian art of Avadhana or multiple concentration. They also learn about the true nature and power of a Mantra, how it manifests, and how it works upon the aspirant. Sessions on Omkara-chanting and other collective chanting of Vedic mantras are also included.
